Originally from Long Island, N.Y., Judy relocated to Charlotte County in 1989. She became active in the county as Executive Director of the Charlotte Players, the local community theater. Her first year, she increased season ticket sales by 50 percent. Acting is not her thing, and Judy only appeared on the main stage once, when she was drafted into the nurses’ chorus of “South Pacific”.
In 2001, Judy took the position of Executive Director of the Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County, the “Chamber of the Arts”. In that position, she supported numerous artists, writers, arts organizations and arts event. She was a founding member of the Peace River Writers Center, a board member of the Cultural Center, and a member of the Leadership Charlotte Class of 1998.
She is currently a member of the Charlotte County Tourist Development Council, as well as Treasurer of the Hospitality Association.
In June 2014, Judy retired from the Arts Council.
