Director of Sales and Marketing, Gone Country Motorsports
Dave entered the business world in SW Florida in 1980 after attending the University of Florida. His first experience after college was to enter the field of Beer Sales where he excelled as the On Premise Sales Manager. After a stint as a restaurateur (his restaurant, The Morgan House, still stands in downtown Ft. Myers), Dave decided to use his local relationships to help the seniors in SW Florida. Dave took up publishing Mature Lifestyles magazine, where he could work to impart quality, localized information to area seniors on a monthly basis.
While publishing this magazine, Dave saw an additional need to connect local folks with companies that have important information on subjects that seniors need to know. He founded D & D Events, a company that produced free “Lifestyles After 50” expos throughout the Florida market. Dave also served for 4 years as the president of CAMEO in Lee County, a non-profit group that worked to serve the needs of seniors in SW Florida.
Dave has taken the business lessons that he has learned from years of running his own companies to Gone Country Motor Sports Park in Charlotte County Florida. As the Director of Sales and Marketing, Dave helps Gone Country Motorsports partner with local, regional, and national businesses. These partnerships allow other businesses to spread the word about Gone Country Motorsports’ various events, such as Redneck Yacht Club weekends, through their media outlets and relationships. As additional value to the company, the revenue stream that comes from these partnerships provides supplementary marketing dollars for other park events, such as mud runs, family fun ATV days, concerts, and more. His areas of expertise include sales and marketing, business plan construction, promotional activity, and excellent computer skills.
Dave lives with his fiancée, Kristina, his 17-year old daughter, Delaney, and his 10-year old daughter, Chloe, in the Buckingham Rural Preserve neighborhood of Lee County.
