Regina Buckley is the Executive Director of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra.
Before moving from Boston in 1996, she was a hospital administrator at Massachusetts General Hospital. After arriving in Punta Gorda, she became affiliated with the Charlotte County Family YMCA where she managed both the Bayfront Center and the Punta Gorda facility, and is a certified fitness instructor and personal trainer. She is also a licensed Real Estate Broker and owned and operated Regal Property Services of Port Charlotte, a property management company.
Ms. Buckley holds a B.A. in Humanities with a concentration in Music Education and piano and vocal performance from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana. She also holds a Masters’ degree, with study in Music Therapy, from Boston University. She trained in vocal performance in Boston with Emilia Giardini, founder of Boston’s Bel Canto School of Opera, and Lorraine di Gregorio. She has performed locally with the Charlotte Players and Peace River Productions and has been a Cantor at both San Antonio and St. Maximilian Kolbe parishes.
She lives in Punta Gorda with her husband, Bill, son Nathan 19, and daughter Danica, 16.
